Nurse Intern Program

Eligibility

To enter the program, you must be a new graduate of an Associate Degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate RN program, with a strong desire to work with critical care patients.

About the Program

• Small classes
• 12 week program
  • 8 weeks didactic & Grand Rounds Clinical, 4 weeks Preceptor Directed Learning
• Program based on CCRN/PCCN review/prep & core classes are CE certified
• You will gain experience with:
  • Ventilators
  • Hemodynamics
  • Inotropic drips
  • Medical ICU
  • Cardiovascular ICU
  • Progressive Care Unit
  • Emergency Department
• Participate as a member of a patient care team
• Work one:one with a preceptor
• Learn time management skills
• Gain confidence interacting with patients and families

Requirements

• Official copy of most recent transcript
• Completed Huguley Memorial Medical Center employment application
• Two letters of recommendation from nursing instructors
• Current BLS certification
