Osteoporosis Screening: Based on an individual's risk factors for osteoporosis our Mobile Unit staff can determine whether an individual should be screened using our Apollo DXA which utilizes advanced Peripheral DXA technology. It's a low-cost, non-invasive, and painless procedure that takes less than 30 seconds to perform. The densitometer measures bone mineral density (BMD) at the heel.

Cholesterol Screening: Low-cost cholesterol screenings are available at each of our Mobile Unit locations. Screening tests include: Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL: Total Cholesterol ratio, VLDL, and Triglycerides. Testing requires a 12 hour fast. Black coffee or water only during fast.

Health Fairs: Huguley's Mobile Health Services participates in some of Tarrant and Johnson counties largest health fairs. The health fairs involve many medical providers and services; the mobile unit can provide EKG's, spinal screening, vision, hearing, blood pressure, skin cancer screenings, prostate exams, breast exams, cholesterol, height or weight and low-cost screenings for osteoporosis, cholesterol and diabetes. Education is also a large aspect of each and everything the mobile unit participates in.

First Aid Station: For a low fee the mobile unit is available to provide first aid to local events. The unit has provided services for the Main Street Arts Fest, Camp Aurora (juvenile diabetes camp with Cook Children's hospital and the American Diabetes Association), Day Camp with the American Red Cross, October Fest and Pioneer Days in Fort Worth, Good Life Days and the Pony League girls fast and slow pitch softball tournament in Burleson and Operation Graduation in Crowley. Last year the mobile unit served over 800,000 people in this capacity.

Flu & Pneumonia Shots:
Huguley Hospital provides low cost flu and pneumonia shots each year during October and November. Last year the unit gave over 7,000 immunizations against flu and pneumonia. Check back on our online calendar in Mid-October to see where we will be giving shots.

Immunizations: The Mobile Unit gives childhood immunizations through the Vaccine for Children initiative and the Fort Worth Public Health Department to children ages 0 to 18. Immunizations are given at health fairs, monthly community location sites and local schools or almost anytime the mobile unit is available.

Athletic Physicals: The months of April, May, August and September are times when Athletes are required to have a physical and Huguley's Mobile Unit responds by setting up at the school to provide these services during school. Parents can be assured their child gets the same care you would get at your physician's office, without taking off from work.
